During the weekend, between Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4, 2024, the feeling of cold is expected to persist during the night and early morning, especially in the central and western highlands.

According to a newsletter from the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh), the environment will be mostly warm during the day, but due to the speed of the wind and its own conditions, a drop in temperatures and cold is expected.

In addition, favorable conditions are anticipated for the appearance of meteorological frosts in the central and western highlands during this weekend.

On the other hand, a cold front is being monitored that could affect the climate starting next Tuesday, January 6, increasing cloudiness in the northern regions and with the possibility of light rains.

The Insivumeh suggests staying informed about weather updates and being prepared for possible changes.

According to the Guatemala Meteorological Service (SMG), it is important that the population take precautions due to the low temperatures predicted, especially on Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th of next week.

Although mostly dry weather is expected, there is a chance for scattered showers early in the week.
