Last month we told you that Intel launched a series of workshops and lectures for engineers, which is open to everyone. The response was great, and after a successful first meeting – we are happy to inform you that the second meeting in the series is underway.

The chip giant’s new project, “Intel Academy”, will include lectures and practical workshops in the fields of Security, AI, SW and Power skills, and the content will be delivered by experts and expertise from Intel. The sessions do not require previous background in the topics they will deal with.

So what will await you this time?

The second meeting will take place on March 8 (Wednesday) Starting at 17:00 (snacks first, then studies), in the Tech & Talk complex at the Haifa Center. Each lecture will last between one and three hours, depending on the topic and content. Participation by pre-registration is free of charge, and the number of places is limited – so it is recommended to register early.

At the meeting, three workshops will be held at the same time:

1. 3D modeling workshop using Fusion 360 software – The advanced, cloud-based product development platform from Autodesk. The software allows you to design products, produce visualizations, animations, simulations, share information and projects with others and more. In the workshop, the user interface, platform navigation, modeling tools and principles for creating different 3D models will be presented.

The workshop will be conducted by Nancy Abu Warda – part of Intel’s innovation team, project manager and coordinator of the company’s maker community activities.

2. Lecture on leadership in conditions of uncertainty. The lecture is intended for managers with at least two years of managerial experience, and will deal with several hot topics: personal management, local-global management, how to build a team that works well together, how to steer the ship in rough waters, what kind of manager I am, how to learn about successful management methods And how are they applied in the field, how do we continue after an organizational change and what is important to pay attention to along the way.

The lecture will be delivered by Efrat Orian-Yogev, a specialist in DFT, who gained experience as a technical leader and joined a management track at Intel.

3. Lecture on security design principles. Here you will learn the principles of Security Design, why they are important and how to apply them in daily work. The lecture will cover various topics – from Trust No One and Secure the Weakest Link, through Defense in Depth to Least Common Mechanism and Fail Safely and Securely.

The lecture will be given by Elial Blum Shem Tov, security researcher, cyber expert and inventor; And Dina Treves, VLSI design and architecture expert and developer of the hardware threat modeling workshop.
