Intelligence sources warn: Is the ISIS organization returning to its greatness in Syria?

by time news

The “Al-Arabiya” website reported this morning (Monday) that the ISIS organization has recently increased its attacks on sites affiliated with the Syrian regime, as well as Kurdish sites. Informed sources said that the murderous terrorist organization continues its activities in Syria, in order to prove its actual presence, contrary to the declaration of the international coalition leadership, about its defeat in March 2019.

Also, the sources added that the operatives of the organization target the attacks through armed attacks and pre-planned targets, as well as indiscriminate shooting. The organization has recently moved to different points in Syria, in order to prove that its cells are still active, as many American officials have warned in recent times. In addition, the sources said that the organization has cells hiding in mountainous places throughout the country, which still carry out attacks from time to time, by advancing on the points of the Kurdish forces and the forces of the Syrian regime.

As you may remember, the organization suffered a painful blow with the assassination of the organization’s leader, Abu Ibrahim Hashimi al-Qorashi, last February. The previous leader, according to ISIS, blew himself up last month in Syria, in order not to be caught by the United States forces operating there. After the operation, the US president said that “we know that when our soldiers approached to capture the terrorist, in a last act of desperate cowardice, and in disrespect for the lives of his family members, he chose to blow himself up, not only the explosive belt, but the third floor.”
