According to updated data from the National Statistical Committee, stocks of finished products in the warehouses of industrial organizations as of December 1, 2023 are estimated at 8.4 billion rubles.

A year earlier, the same figure was 8.1 billion rubles. Consequently, over the year in value terms, the increase in reserves was 3%, writes the resource Your Pennies.

The ratio of inventories to average monthly production at the end of November was 66.4%. This means that there is now a three-week supply of products in industrial warehouses. A year earlier, the same figure was 71.4%.

Belstat estimated the growth of products that industrial enterprises additionally stored in warehouses during the month at 175.4 million rubles. It was formed mainly due to the warehouse reserves of the Minsk region, while the capital, on the contrary, slightly unloaded warehouses in November.

The situation with inventories in industrial warehouses varies by region. In the capital and in the Brest region as of December 1, 2023, they exceeded the monthly production volume, and in the Gomel region they were less than a third of the monthly production volume (28.5%).

Comparing the dynamics in the current and previous years, it is clear that the year 2023 repeats the year 2021, when warehouses were also actively unloaded against the backdrop of the “export miracle.”

However, the important difference is that industrial reserves are now at a much higher level. And any stock is materialized money, which can only be obtained by selling the goods.
