The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Saratov region, after checking the media reports, opened a criminal case on desecration of the convict, the press service of the regional department of the department reports.
“The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Saratov Region, following the results of checking the message posted in the media about the commission of unlawful acts against the convict, initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph“ a ”of Part 2 of Art. 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violent acts of a sexual nature committed by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy), ”- said in the message of the Investigative Committee.
The case is being investigated by an investigative group, which included investigators and criminologists from the regional Investigative Committee. At the moment, they are establishing the circumstances of the incident, the department stressed.
On October 5, officers from the central office of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia went to the Saratov Region to check reports of unlawful actions against the man. The reason for the check was a video posted on the Internet. Its author claims that the recording was made in the Regional Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Saratov Region, RIA Novosti reports.
