Iran has put forward the idea of a joint platform for e-commerce in BRICS“/>

Iran wants to create a joint electronic trading platform to facilitate the buying and selling of goods among member countries BRICS.

According to Day.Az, the President of Iran stated this Masud Pezeshkian October 23 at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia.

According to him, thanks to this platform it is possible to reduce the dependence of EU member states on international markets.

Pezeshkian added that the creation and development of international mobile payment systems based on the national currencies of the BRICS member countries, the creation of smart transport systems in industrial and economic zones using artificial intelligence will help reduce delays in the transportation and delivery of products.

It should be noted that BRICS is an intergovernmental organization created in 2006. Russia assumed the chairmanship of BRICS on January 1, 2024. Currently, members of the organization, in addition to Russia, are Brazil, India, China and South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Let us note that Iran proposes to create a small and responsive secretariat to implement various programs within the BRICS framework.
