New Delhi: The Iranian embassy in New Delhi has said that the Iranian government wants to renew its crude oil trade relationship with India.
Iran is the world’s second largest exporter of crude oil. The Iranian government has been in constant conflict with former US President Donald Trump.
Trump subsequently issued various sanctions against Iran, banning crude oil trade with the United States in protest of its nuclear test.
India, an ally of the United States, cut off crude oil trade with Iran during the Trump administration. Joe Biden’s democratic rule is currently taking place in the United States.
Russia’s crude oil trade worldwide has been banned in many parts of the world due to the Russian-Ukrainian war. As a result, Asian countries, including India, have been forced to rely on Iranian crude oil for trade.
The Iranian embassy in India has released important information about this. The Iranian government has stated that it wants to engage in direct crude oil trade with India without any third party intermediaries. It is noteworthy that the Central Modi government is currently considering this.
