/ Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian commented on Wednesday on the Iranian bombing that targeted Erbil and said that the attacks will end with the end of the war in Gaza.
Abdullahian said, in statements on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, according to what was reported by Al-Arabiya channel, “Iraq and Pakistan are part of Iran’s security, but his country will respond to any threat emanating from them.”
The Iranian minister claimed that “Tehran provided information about Mossad activities in Kurdistan to Baghdad,” which was constantly denied by the governments of Baghdad and Erbil.
The Iranian Foreign Minister considered that “the bombing on Balochistan in Pakistan targeted the ‘Iranian terrorist opposition’, and that the strikes on Erbil targeted Mossad agents, and that the attacks will end with the end of the war in Gaza.”
He said, “The security agreement with Iraq gives us the right to protect ourselves.”
Earlier, on Wednesday, Hussein Amir Abdullahian told CNBC that Washington’s full support for Israel is “the basis of turmoil” in the region.
He added in an interview that the United States should not link its fate to the fate of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Abdullahian went on to say: “The Yemenis and other countries in the region defend the Palestinian people and act based on their experience and according to their interests, and they do not receive any orders or instructions from us.”
Abdullahian stressed that navigation security is of utmost importance to Iran as an oil exporting country, and said that “turmoil around our country is not in our interest.”
