Iraq tops the list of countries importing Turkish legumes

/ The Chairman of the Council of the Turkish Grains and Legumes Union, Vesel Memish, announced on Tuesday that Iraq leads the rest of the countries in importing Turkish legumes during the month of November 2023.

Memish added, “Our exports amounted to 204,464 tons, and legumes ranked first with a value of $35.6 million, while pastry products ranked second with $34 million, and oilseeds ranked third with $30.01 million.”

He continued, “Iraq, Egypt, and Italy are the first three countries to which we exported more than others, as we exported a value of 32.08 million dollars to Iraq, 13.04 million dollars to Egypt, and 11.02 million dollars to Italy.”

She pointed out that “Iraq came at the forefront of countries in importing legumes with 777 million dollars, followed by Iran with 156 million dollars, and then Germany came third with 141 million dollars.”
