The terrorist organization ISIS published a message in which it announced its intention to carry out new terrorist attacks in *Russia. Their plans include attacks on high-ranking officials, including President Vladimir Putin.

Russian media write about this, citing a statement by the terrorist organization ISIS.

In their statement, the militants claim that these actions are a response to interrogations and torture used against members of the organization in Russia. It is currently impossible to verify whether these claims are not fake. The Russian side has also not yet responded.

After the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall, for which an ISIS cell called Wilayat Khorasan claimed responsibility, the world community expressed serious concern about the possibility of increasing terrorist threats in Europe, especially in France, Belgium, Great Britain and other countries.

Today, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that this group has carried out several attempted terrorist attacks on French soil in recent months, although no detailed information has been provided about them.

Former senior UN counter-terrorism official Edmund Fitton-Brown suggested that events of this nature could make the games a prime target for terrorists.

Igor Semivolos, director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, expressed an interesting opinion about what happened, noting that the reason for the possibility of a terrorist attack on Russian territory may be related to social and economic aspects, such as the living conditions of guest workers from Central Asia. He highlighted the similarities between the recruitment methods used by ISIS and Russian propaganda.

Earlier, Kursor reported that new details about the terrorists’ preparations for the attack had become known. The final “fee” for the terrorist attack was 500 thousand rubles, which was to be divided among four.
