Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, but Russian authorities have yet to comment on the claim. Today, the group’s mouthpiece, Amaq, released a nearly 90-second video that the Islamists say shows the attackers at the scene of the attack. Today, the official death toll in the attack rose to 137 people.

There are 154 injured, and many of them remain in a critical condition, according to TASS, which refers to the Moscow Regional Office for Civil Protection. It is reported that children are among the dead and injured.
