Israel’s long-awaited and heralded response to Iran is already underway. The Jewish army confirmed that it is carrying out “precision strikes against military installations in Tehran.” Shortly before their planes took off, they informed the White House, which deemed it an offensive “in self-defense.” American military personnel did not participate in any operation, Washington insists.
“In response to months of continuous attacks by the Iranian regime against the State of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces are now carrying out precision strikes against military targets in Iran,” the army said in a statement.
«Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and duty to respond. Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized. We will do everything necessary to defend the State of Israel and the people of Israel”, assures the Israeli Military Force.

Shortly after 1am in Spain, unofficial information about an Israeli bombing in Tehran began circulating on social networks. “They were so loud and loud that the sky turned red,” a Tehran resident, who asked to remain anonymous, told Reuters.
At first everything was confusing. Within minutes, Iranian public television confirmed the attack, without blaming the Jewish air force, but recognizing “strong explosions both in Tehran and in the city of Karaj caused by unknown persons”. There was no need to continue speculating. Before 01:30 in Spain, Israel confirmed “precise” attacks against Iran’s capital. “They are a response to the Iranian regime’s continued attacks on Israel.”
The attacks have always been directed against military targets, US media reports, with information coming from the Biden administration. “No nuclear facilities or energy infrastructure were affected.”
For its part, Islamic State intelligence attributed the explosions “to the correct functioning of our anti-aircraft defenses.” Although there are unconfirmed rumors that several military bases in the west and south-west of Tehran were hit.
Explosions in Damascus
At the same time, the Syrian army’s air defense intercepted “hostile targets” on the outskirts of Damascus on Saturday morning, the official Syrian news agency SANA reported.
“Our anti-aircraft defense is facing hostile targets in the sky around Damascus,” the media said.
