Israeli army raids in West Bank; Three people died including Al Aqsa Brigade commander

West Bank: Three killed, 40 injured in Israeli raids in occupied West Bank

It is reported that the condition of four people is serious. The raid was on Tuesday.

Three people including Al Aqsa Brigade commander were killed in the violence. 30-year-old Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, a senior armed resistance commander, died. The information was released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Israeli army raided a house in the West Bank city of Nablus.

Israeli forces surrounded a building in the Old City at 5 a.m. local time on Tuesday. Nabulsi, the commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigades, was trapped there.

It is reported that the firing lasted for several hours in the area.

“Israeli forces surrounded a house in Nablus. There was firing from both sides,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

Al-Nabalsi, known as ‘the lion of Nablus’, was in hiding for months and survived numerous Israeli attacks and assassination attempts. This past February and July, Nabalsi’s public appearances at the funerals of his colleagues drew the ire of the Israeli military.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade is the armed wing of Fatah. Fatah is the movement that controls the Palestinian Authority, which has limited autonomy in the West Bank.

The raid in the West Bank came hours after Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza ended.

Israeli security forces have been conducting frequent raids and violence in the occupied West Bank for the past few months.
