Italy lifts entry restrictions for tourists from Russia

From March 1 to March 31, Italy lifts the current restrictions on entry into the country for Russians, according to the website of the Italian Consulate General in Russia.

“From March 1, 2022, the current restrictions on entry for the purpose of tourism will cease. Nevertheless, before leaving for Italy, we ask you to check in advance for up-to-date information on the procedure for the implementation of the trip, ”the statement says.

To enter Italy, you must present a Passenger Locator Form and one of the following documents:

– A valid certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 with a drug approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). At the same time, Sputnik V and other Russian vaccines are not included in the list of permitted ones;

– Certificate of recovery after COVID-19 indicating the date of completion of self-isolation. No more than 180 days should pass from the moment of the disease. The document must be translated into English or Italian;

– Negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid test within 48 hours.

Tourists without proper documents will have to comply with a five-day quarantine, and then pass a PCR test or a rapid test.
