Svishtov student Ivet Goranova, who is a 4th year majoring in “Trade Economics” at the Dimitar A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, once again proved that she is a champion in everything. In just one week, she conquered both the dance floor and the tatami mat, she is praised by the Academy. In the TV show Dancing Stars, Yvette and her partner became the first couple in the current edition to score the maximum 40 points, combining folk dancing and paso doble.

The Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020 also won a gold medal at the 53rd edition of the Golden Belt International Karate Tournament in the Serbian city of Čacak – Ivet came first in the 61 kg kumite category, which is her highest. She achieved four victories on her way to success, and in the final beat Emina Sipovič (BiH).

At the beginning of March, in which Ivet Goranova conquered the dance floor and the tatami, she was also chosen as “Student of the Year” for 2023 in the “Sports” category, in the ranking of the National Representation of Student Councils. Yvette performs excellently on the student bench at the Academy of Economics “D. A. Tsenov” – she completed the first semester of the current school year with excellent results, and her average grade point average since graduation is over 5.80. According to the teachers of the Olympic karate champion, she puts maximum effort into her economics studies as well.
