João Vicente, keyboardist and piper of the band None of us, died at the age of 58, this Tuesday, 26, in Porto Alegre. The musician was admitted to São Lucas hospital, in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, due to kidney cancer.
The band from Rio Grande do Sul confirmed the member’s death on their official Instagram account this Wednesday, 27th. “This is a moment of deep sadness for all of us. We are immensely grateful for everyone’s affection”, states the published note.

The musician began his career with the band Não de Nós in 1994, 30 years ago. Recognized by the band as a “revolutionary on the accordion”, he played several instruments, such as piano, harmonica, button harmonica, chromatic harmonica and guitar.
The Brazilian rock group was formed in 1986 in the city of Porto Alegre and has twelve studio albums, six live albums and three DVDs released. The band has sold more than 3.5 million records and has performed more than 2000 shows and continues with performances this year.
João Vicenti’s wake will be held from 10 am to 6 pm this Wednesday at the Metropolitan Crematorium in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.
