Job in UAE | ‘10,000 skilled Indian workers to get jobs in UAE by 2023’

Abu Dhabi: (www.kvartha.com) The Indian Consulate in the UAE has revealed that at least 10,000 highly skilled Indian workers will find employment opportunities in the UAE by 2023. The announcement was made as part of the second anniversary of the mission to serve the three million Indian diaspora around the clock. The workers will be trained under the name Tejas (Training for Emirates Jobs and Skills), a pilot program of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

By partnering with NSDC, the consulate hopes to help deter citizens from dishonest recruitment and provide them with the skills they need to secure employment abroad. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur launched the international project Tejas on 27th March 2022.

The scheme aims to qualify, issue certificates and provide jobs to Indians abroad. Tejas aims to create workforce-enabled pathways for Indians to prepare for the UAE’s skill and market needs. The Tejas training program will be held in India and Dubai.
