Sekar, the cinema dog who has made his debut in Tamil cinema as Sathees Nayan, is emerging as a good comedian. Produced by AGS, the film is set for Pongal.
Directed by debutant director Kishore Rajkumar, the film stars Sathees as the protagonist and Pavithra Lakshmi as the heroine. George Mariam, Mrs., Livingston, Prince, Mano Bala, Gu. Gnanasambanthan and others have added strength to the story with their acting. Composer Shankar Ganesh appears on screen as an actor in the film and sings songs. Working out that composer Shankar Ganesh is portrayed as a fun villain.

New storyline for Tamil cinema. This story may seem like a mini-concept for a stage comedy show. But the film crew has to drive and enjoy this idea as a 2 hour movie. The director takes a long time to get into the story in the first half of the film. The movie starts at turtle speed and then runs at rabid dog speed. The director tries to make us fully enjoy ourselves after going into the story.
The song that has come to Anirudh’s music is murmuring. Sandy Master’s dog style dance makes you enjoy. Sathees has performed well in the song Idaku Mutaku. Using Rajini films as reference names for his research is a good spice idea.
I have to say the Labrador dog is the main protagonist of the story above all else. Mirchi Siva has provided the voice for this dog. Siva’s voice and other scenes explode with occasional jokes. The film should have come out even better though. The director has missed the opportunity in many places. Tired of traveling as a story plot with no fluctuations in many scenes. But the chemistry between Satish and Pavithra Lakshmi and their acting sustains the film.
‘Don’t talk about the logic of the film. This is fantasy cinema. ‘ We do not have to criticize it because the title is put on the card. Although the scene where the dog is driving the car is all very fruity. These scenes are reminiscent of Ramanarayana’s cinemas. A verse spoken in the course of comparing caste and breed of dog in a scene is important.
Any movie review though will only talk more about its story screenplay, up to the cinematography. But the production work of a movie is important for a story to come to the screen as a movie. The predictions of those in charge of Creativity leadership are important. Whether the budget is small or large, the role of the film’s executive producers is crucial in giving the story the perfect action form. The film’s executive producer SM Venkat Manikkam and creative director Aishwarya Kalpathy are to be commended. Bigil and Paradesi in particular are notable projects of SM Venkat Gem.
