José María Molas has died at the age of 72 after feeling unwell after the reconnaissance of the Costa Brava Rally that led to an inevitable cardiac arrest. Professionally he was a standard bearer of the motorcycle world. He dedicated his entire life to promoting the world of motorsport, mainly the motorcycle segment. He directed the national enduro team and was an enduro delegate in the 80s and 90s and was always fully involved in the Spanish Motorcycle Federation. He was born in Plana de Vic 74 years ago, in the Osona region, famous for its great love of motor racing. In his youth he was a rally driver and a regular practitioner of the enduro category. He worked closely with Ignacio Verneda in the first national enduro teams and in the Six Days of Enduro of Cerdanya in 1985. He later joined the motorcycle spare parts specialist company Remoto, importer of Acerbis and Polini, managed by Narcis Casas and Josep María Pibernat. Later he created his own company with imports of the Ariete, Acerbis and Polini brands. Several images of José María Molas enjoying his hobby PF he definitely created the company Poiexiss to distribute the HJC helmet brand and various brands of components and accessories for the enjoyment of the motorcyclist. Already retired, in the last years of his life, he dedicated himself to one of his favorite hobbies, running classic car rallies, proclaiming himself champion of Spain in 2017 in the category of historical regular vehicles.
