Khabib Nurmagomedov’s brother detained in Moscow

Russian fighter of mixed style (MMA) Usman Nurmagomedov was detained in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports, citing a law enforcement source.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, 23-year-old Nurmagomedov and his peer Kamal Idrisov hit a police officer in Dagestan in a Toyota Camry, after which they flew to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport.

The Department for Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Central Federal District informs, without naming names, that two citizens born in 1998, who arrived on a flight from Makhachkala, were detained at Sheremetyevo. They are suspected of having run over a police officer at the Airport checkpoint in Kaspiysk. “Citizens were delivered to the duty unit of the line unit. The issue of detention and placement in a temporary detention facility is being resolved, ”the ministry said in a statement.

Usman Nurmagomedov, cousin of UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, fought his last fight on October 23 at Bellator 269 in Moscow. Then he defeated Patrick Pietila from Finland ahead of schedule. The athlete has 14 professional fights, all of them he won, 12 ended ahead of schedule.
