BANGALORE: Delhi Capitals’ recruitment of left – arm pacer Khalil Ahmed for the IPL 2022 star auction on Monday was criticized by Charu Sharma for making a mistake. Khalil, who had a base price of Rs 50 lakh, was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs 5.25 crore, but it is now clear that the Mumbai Indians bid Rs 5.25 crore. Delhi Capitals has called for Rs 5 crore for Khalil after a heated auction. That is ten times the base price! It is at this point that the presenter becomes confused.
