Especially Gunakukai in the forest is the heart and soul of the film. As a result, many people who have seen the movie have flocked to Kodaikanal to see Gunakukai.
Tourists especially from Kerala come to Kodaikanal in large numbers. They visit in vehicles like bus, van, car etc. Those who visit Gunakukai, remember the scenes from the movie ‘Manjumel Boys’ and enjoy taking videos on their cell phones and cameras and recording them as ‘reels’ on social websites such as Facebook and Instagram. In this situation, many tourists came to Gunakukai area yesterday. They visited Gunakukai through the barricades there. They also took photos, selfies and videos on their cell phones and cameras. Due to the daily influx of tourists, security arrangements should be made in Gunakugu. Social activists and public have insisted that basic facilities including drinking water and toilets should be provided.
