On the 28th, the Korea LPG Association signed a business agreement (MOU) for the distribution of eco-friendly LPG trucks with the National Private Small Cargo Transport Business Association (hereinafter referred to as the Trucking Association) at the Transportation Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and held a handover ceremony to support three LPG trucks. He said he did.

According to the agreement, the Korea LPG Association and the Trucking Association decided to cooperate with each other to expand the supply of LPG trucks, which have a significant effect on reducing fine dust and greenhouse gases, for transportation business. We will also promote the discovery of policies and systems to overcome the economic difficulties of service providers.

Following the business agreement, the Korea LPG Association held a ‘delivery ceremony for the distribution of eco-friendly LPG trucks’ and donated three 1-ton LPG trucks to the Delivery Association. The financial resources for this support project came from the ‘LPG Hope Recharging Fund’ created by E1, an LPG specialist company, and SK Gas.

At this event, a small business owner in his 60s who has been in the personal delivery business in Ulsan for 27 years was selected as a recipient of the LPG truck donation and received the vehicle. The two vehicles are planned to be used as replacement vehicles for the welfare of members of the Delivery Association.

The new LPG 1-ton truck is characterized by significantly reducing fine dust and nitrogen oxide emissions and obtaining three types of low-emission vehicle certification. Carbon dioxide emissions were also reduced by 8% compared to existing diesel trucks.

Yang Hee-myeong, president of the National Private Small Cargo Transport Business Association, said, “Converting cargo trucks, which have a much longer mileage compared to regular passenger cars, to LPG vehicles will not only contribute to reducing vehicle emissions in the city, but will also help the livelihood of business owners with low maintenance costs. “I look forward to it,” he said.

Lee Ho-jung, president of the Korea LPG Association, said, “We will continue to actively support small business owners in difficult situations and cooperate with related organizations to expand the market for eco-friendly LPG trucks.”
