The American DaVita, a provider of medical dialysis services based in Denver, bought dialysis clinics in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador from the German Frenesius Medical Care for US$ 300 million.
The sale of assets includes four separate transactions per countrywhich further reduces Frenesius’ presence in Latin American clinics after its departure from Argentina, at the end of 2023.
According to the German company in a statement, The resources obtained will be used to reduce your debt.
Those four transactions together represent 154 dialysis clinics, more than 7,100 employees, nearly 30 thousand dialysis patients and pro forma revenues of approximately 370 million euros in 2023.
With the agreement DaVita expands its international operations in Brazil and Colombia, and marks its entry into the dialysis markets of Chile and Ecuador. The transaction in Chile was completed this Tuesday, while The transactions in Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil are still under analysis by regulators and are expected to conclude by the end of this year.
