New Delhi: Today, K Kavita, daughter of former Chief Minister of Telangana, has got a shock in the matter related to Delhi Liquor Policy. A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader K Kavita by two weeks. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, dealing with ED and CBI cases, extended Kavita’s custody till April 23. He was produced before the court on completion of his previous judicial custody period.

Why was bail not granted?

The judge had on Monday refused to grant interim bail to Kavita, saying she not only destroyed evidence but also influenced witnesses and if she is granted relief, there is ‘every possibility’ that she will do so. Will keep doing. On not getting bail from the court, BRS leader K Kavita said that this is a case completely based on the statement. This is a political matter. This is a matter of targeting opposition parties. CBI has already recorded my statement in jail.

ED made this allegation

The ED has alleged that Kavitha, daughter of Legislative Council member and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, is a key member of the ‘South Group’ which is accused of giving Rs 100 crore to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi in exchange for getting a bigger share in the liquor licenses in the national capital. There is an allegation of giving bribe of Rs. crore. Kavitha (46) was arrested from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad on March 15.
