Liverpoool confirmed the signing of Fulham’s Portuguese striker, Fabio Carvalho, after a first attempt by the club in January to sign the 19-year-old, the footballer himself announced in a statement on Monday.
Carvalho reportedly signed a five-year contract and will officially join the club on July 1.
At the end of his contract at the end of June, Carvalho should have been transferred in January after a deal of 5 million pounds (5.9 million euros, 6.2 million dollars), but the transfer did not take place due to an administrative problem .
Having made his debut for the Portuguese Under-21s in March and having represented England at youth level, Carvalho played a key role in Fulham FC’s promotion to the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and providing 8 assists in 36 games.
Carvalho’s arrival will add a new face to Liverpool’s attacking line, already bolstered by the arrival of Colombian Luis Diaz in January.
