Thiruvananthapuram ∙ The Central Meteorological Department has said that there is low pressure in the south-eastern and central-eastern Arabian Sea near the north Kerala coast. As a result, Kerala is likely to experience widespread rain and isolated heavy rain on Sunday and Monday.

Strong winds (40 to 45 kmph and occasional gusts up to 55 kmph) and bad weather are likely over Lakshadweep, Maldives-Kanyakumari areas, Kerala coast and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea.

A new depression is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal along Andaman Sea on November 16. The Meteorological Center has also said that light rain is likely at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts in the coming hours.
