jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of the Film Censorship Institute (LSF) Ervan Ismail responded to the controversy over the film Qibla which is being widely discussed by the public.

Ervan explained that the film made by Leo Pictures has not yet passed the LSF censorship.

He explained that his party had returned the draft of the film with notes that needed to be corrected.

However, until now, Ervan said that his party had still not received back the draft of the Qibla film which needed to be reviewed.

“The film is intact and to this day there is no certificate of passing censorship (STLS),” said Ervan when contacted by media crew recently.

Ervan confirmed that LSF had just given permission to pass censorship regarding promotional materials for the film Qibla, namely posters and trailers.

The promotional instruments in question are posters depicting people bowing down in a rich position and trailers showing scenes from the Qibla film.

“Well, one (poster) and two (trailer) already have passing certificates. If we talk about ones one and two, this is related to promotions or advertisements which are usually launched before the film,” he said.
