jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Election Organizers’ Honorary Council (DKPP) has decided hundreds of cases related to alleged violations of the code of ethics in the 2024 elections.

According to DKPP Chairman Heddy Lugito, his party has decided 587 cases from 2023 to March 20 2024.

“Data on case handling from 2023 to March 2024 shows that 587 election violations have been resolved by the DKPP,” said Heddy at a working meeting (raker) of Commission II DPR RI with the government and election organizers at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (25/3 ).

Of this number, he continued, 300 people (50 percent) were rehabilitated and 281 people (47 percent) were given sanctions.

“As I said earlier, the number of those sanctioned is fewer than those rehabilitated,” he said.

He added that the latest data from early March 2024 to Monday, there were at least 40 cases filed with the DKPP and often simultaneously with cases filed with the Constitutional Court (MK).

“After March 20 until now, almost every day at least five to 10 complaints have been submitted to the DKPP, apparently these complaints have been submitted to the DKPP simultaneously with those complained to the Constitutional Court, so that in the past two weeks there have been around 40 cases submitted to the DKPP,” he said.

Heddy then conveyed several cases that received public attention which were handled by his party.

The number is quite large, DKPP has decided 587 cases of violations of the code of ethics in the 2024 elections.
