The Italian-British production tells the story of three women born into the Italian mafia family ‘Ndrangheta who team up with a prosecutor to destroy the brutal system from within.
Stephen Butchard’s screenplay is based on Alex Perry’s novel, which is based on true events. “The Good Mothers” was convincing with its complex characters, the series conveyed an ultra-realistic impression, according to the jury’s statement. “We were touched, scared and sometimes breathless.” The series will soon be available on the Disney+ streaming service.
