José Félix Sanabria Espíndola, 55 years old, died late Wednesday afternoon (17), three days after suffering an accident on a side road in Bella Vista do Norte, a Paraguayan district that borders Bela Vista, 324 kilometers from Campo Big. The man was a passenger in a Kingstar pickup truck that overturned at the scene. The driver of the vehicle died instantly.

The death was reported to the police by José’s niece. In the report, she stated that the man is a resident of Bela Vista and went to visit relatives in Paraguay, but the vehicle ended up overturning on the road when one of the tires burst. The victim was rescued by residents of the region to a hospital in the city and then taken to Santa Casa da Capital.

Late yesterday afternoon, José ended up succumbing to his injuries and died in the hospital at around 5:45 pm. The case was registered at Depac (Community Emergency Care Station) Cepol as a death to be clarified.

Accident – The accident happened in the late afternoon of January 14th. At the time, the vehicle was driven by Brazilian businessman Tomáz Campuzano, 66 years old. He died before help arrived. José and 66-year-old Paraguayan Eugênio Fleitas Esquivel were also in the pickup truck.

Tomás was thrown from the vehicle and the two others were rescued and taken to medical care in Bela Vista.
