While the Mahindra XUV400 model was recently launched as a rival to the Tata Nexon EV model, Maruti Suzuki is currently working on introducing a new electric car model for its part. Maruti Suzuki’s new Fronx electric car model will soon be launched in India.
Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce six all-new electric vehicles in the Indian market by 2030. The first of these models was the Fronx compact crossover SUV which was showcased at the recent Auto Expo 2023 event. An all-electric version of the Fronx model will be launched in the Indian market in the next few years.
Currently, the details of the new Maruti Suzuki Fronx EV model remain a mystery. As far as the design is concerned, the new Fronx EV model looks similar to its petrol version. The Fronx petrol model will go on sale in the coming weeks ahead of the electric version.
The Fronx EV model showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 event features dual-tone black and purple colored seat covers. Equipment-wise, it gets a head-up display, a wireless charger, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 360-degree parking camera.
Details about the battery and motor that will be offered in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx EV model are kept under wraps. However, its overall driving range and performance can be expected to rival the likes of Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
