Yerevan “Mika” will start preparing for the season on January 8 of the next year. Although the New Year holidays are ahead, the team will hold light trainings at its own training ground on December 24-28. The club’s official website informs about this.
The coaching staff of “Mika” has already drawn up the preparatory program. From January 8 to February 10, the team will prepare at the “Mika” sports complex, during which it plans 3 test matches. One will be bilateral, the other will be with Mika-2, and the third will be with one of the local teams.
From February 12, the Mycians will go to Cyprus, where they will hold a two-week training camp. The team will again stay at the comfortable five-star Aeneas hotel in Ayanapa, where it has been holding its meetings for the last 4 years. “Mika” plans to hold 4 test matches in Cyprus. According to the preliminary plan, the meetings are scheduled for February 14, 17, 21 and 24. The opponents are not known yet, but on those days, a number of Russian Premier League and First Division teams, as well as Polish and Bulgarian teams, will hold their meetings in Cyprus. It is possible that some of them will become rivals of our team. Those teams are “Krylia Sovetov”, “BMA-Energy”, “Ural”, “Tom”, “Neftekhimik”, “Textilshchik”, “Orenburg”. By the way, it is possible that several Armenian teams will also travel to Cyprus: “Pyunik”, “Shirak”, “Banants”, “Impuls”, “Gandzasar”.
“Mika” will return to the homeland on February 26 and will meet “Ulis” in the quarterfinals of the Armenian Cup on March 3.
