The Colombian Military Forces are in a state of maximum alert due to the threat of an alleged ‘pistol plan’ planned by the FARC dissidents, under the direction of alias ‘Iván Mordisco’.
According to an intelligence report revealed by the Colombian station Caracol Radio, the Central General Staff of the FARC dissidents would be plotting a potential ‘pistol plan’ directed against the Military Forces, the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office.
The document warns that these actions could materialize both in military installations and in civilian areas in 17 priority cities, including Pereira, Cali, Medellín, Barrancabermeja, and others.
«It is not ruled out that these actions may take place in Armed Forces facilities such as Training Schools.regional commands, departments, Metropolitan Police Stations, Substations, CAI and military complexes in 17 prioritized cities such as Pereira, Cali, Medellín, Barrancabermeja, Tunja, Neiva, Valledupar, Villavicencio, Ibagué, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Pasto, Yopal, Bucaramanga, Bogotá, Cúcuta and Popayán,” the document states.

General Helder Giraldo, commander of the Military Forces, has emphasized the possibility that the Central General Staff seeks to send a message of unity and coordination through a resumption of its offensive actions against the Public Force throughout the national territory.
After the end of the ceasefire with the FARC dissidents, the Military Forces have entered into a first-degree barracks due to the possibility of an escalation of attacks directed towards the Navy, the Army, the Air Force, the National Police and the civil population.
This situation has generated an atmosphere of tension and alert throughout the country, while the military and security authorities remain vigilant against any eventuality that may arise in the coming hours.
