Poll: N.D. first but with deterioration, accuracy the biggest problem – Dissatisfaction at 88% for Tempi

The vast majority (88%) respond that there has been no progress by the political and judicial system regarding the attribution of responsibility for the tragedy in Tempe

A clear lead for New Democracy shows a new poll by Metron Analysis for Mega regarding the intention to vote for the European elections. However, it is down 4% compared to the corresponding measurement in February 2024.

Specifically, in terms of voting intention, New Democracy comes first with a percentage of 24.6%, while SYRIZA comes in second place with 11.8%, followed by PASOK with 10.2%. Compared to the February measurement, PASOK fell from second place. The KKE (7.9%) and the Hellenic Solution (7.6%) recorded an increase.

The vote estimate reflects a similar dynamic with an estimate of -5.1% decline for New Democracy, +1.8% increase for SYRIZA, -1.9% decline for PASOK, rise for KKE (+1.4%) and Hellenic Solution (+1.7%).

As for the gatherings and movements of the voters, the poll records a gathering of the ND. to 71.1% with losses primarily to Hellenic Solution, PASOK and SYRIZA. For its part, SYRIZA is at 58.1% with losses to New Left, PASOK and KKE. PASOK is at 70.4% with losses to New Democracy, New Left and SYRIZA.

The most popular political leader is Dimitris Koutsoubas with 41%, surpassing the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis who is at 39%. Zoi Konstantopoulou follows with 34%, Nikos Androulakis with 32% and Stefanos Kasselakis with 26%.

When asked whether the political and judicial system has moved effectively to assign responsibility for the deadly tragedy in Tempe, the vast majority (88%) say that there has been no progress. The opinion that there has been no progress is embraced by the great majority of citizens from all political spectrums.

Regarding the opinions on the operation of branches of foreign universities in the country, 53% are positioned negatively and 42% are positioned positively.

72% have negative impressions of the government’s handling of inflation, while 77% also have negative impressions of the problem of crime.

In terms of which problems citizens consider most important, accuracy and economy are in the first places, while the crisis of institutions is also rising, compared to the last measurement.

66% believe that the country is going in the wrong direction, while the percentage of those who think that it is going in the right direction, falls to 29%, compared to the last measurement.
