Croatian (Luka Modric), Real Madrid star, closed the door to offers from Saudi clubs, while choosing between two paths after he decided to leave the Santiago Bernabeu Castle.
Modric’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the current season, and it appears that the Croatian veteran will not renew his contract.
According to previous press reports, the 38-year-old is frustrated with his lack of participation with the royal team this season, after he received a promise from the club management upon renewing the contract last season that he would remain a key player.
Modric has participated in 33 matches with Real Madrid in all tournaments since the beginning of the current season, including only 17 matches as a starter.
The reliable newspaper The Athletic reported that Modric is about to end a legendary career with Real Madrid after 13 years, but he is ruling out the option of retirement.
She added that Modric does not prefer to move to one of the Saudi Professional League clubs, knowing that he rejected previous Saudi offers in the last two transfer periods.
She explained that the Croatian star is choosing between moving to another European club, or playing in the American League.
According to the newspaper, Modric aims with this step to be ready to participate with the Croatia national team in the 2026 World Cup.
