Journalist Claire Verove is in Vaucluse, Friday June 10. She shares her favorites in the region, starting with the striking village of Gordes.
What to do during the weekend, if you go through Vaucluse? First, visit the village of Gordes. “A small perched village, typically Provençal, very well known. (…) A hamlet full of small houses built with stones that are superimposed, a bit like igloos in Provence”says journalist Claire Verove.
For sports enthusiasts, head for Mont Ventoux, “a must for cyclists”, recalls Claire Verove. The journalist offers to discover it on four wheels. “You can race down Mont Ventoux in Déval Kart, these are non-motorized karts pulled by butt pullers”, she explains. The little ones can slide on giant buoys, “a fun and thrilling way to rediscover Mont Ventoux as summer approaches”concludes Claire Verove.
