The President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muftin, directed that quick solutions be found for all the problems that stand in the way of the Special Olympics champions and heroines. This came during his reception of a group of families of players from the national teams of the Special Olympics Federation.
A statement by the Olympic Committee received by the (INA) stated, “Muftin listened to the proposals of all the players’ families, and instructed to find quick solutions to all the problems that stand in the way of the heroes and heroines of this sport, and hinder the continuation of the path of successes, stressing at the same time the necessity of preserving the goals that achieved in the previous period, and developed in a way that serves this game.”
The statement quoted Muften as saying: “The sincere smile drawn on the faces of these brave people will give everyone, and I am the first among them, a great motivation to achieve their dreams and ambitions according to the available and possible means.”
