The ⁣President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muften, praised the levels of players participating in the ​International Professional Mixed Martial Arts Championship, which was held in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of​ players representing six teams: Iraq, Egypt, ​Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan, and the host country, Iraq, was crowned champion.

In a⁤ statement to the ⁣Olympic⁣ Committee ​received⁤ by the (INA), Muftin expressed ​his “happiness that the ⁢capital, Baghdad, is hosting a large gathering of martial‍ arts champions, adding that the presence of the ⁢sisterly ⁤and friendly teams is clear evidence of the ⁣great status⁤ and sporting ‍reputation that Iraq enjoys.”⁢
For his part, the President of the Iraqi Martial Arts Federation, ‍Raed ​Jamil, appreciated “the absolute support provided‌ by the⁣ President of the Olympic Committee to all​ national Olympic and non-Olympic ‌federations, in addition‍ to his attendance‍ at⁣ the international professional championship⁢ competitions, his ⁤praise of ⁤the success of the​ tournament, ⁤the ⁤level of players, and his ‌crowning of the⁣ first-place ⁣winners in international competitions.”
The President of the Iraqi ‌Muay Thai⁤ Federation and Member‌ of the General ‍Assembly of ⁤the ‌Olympic Committee, Mustafa Jabbar Alak, attended the International Professional Championship competitions.
