There are various ways to combat anti-vaccination doctors, up to criminal prosecution, said the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection. Later, his assistant Alexei Kuznetsov clarified that the minister did not propose to introduce additional articles into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
“There are several ways, including in the criminal legislation there are articles that can be applied to those who, in fact, not only create a threat themselves, do not need to be a prophet today, but we see when medical workers are anti-axers got sick … But I do not call for any sharp movements there, but we understand that physicians should be more advanced in this situation, ”the minister replied to a question about measures to combat anti-axer medics.
Mr. Kuznetsov later explained that the minister wanted to say that the incorrect behavior of individual health workers endangers the life and health of citizens. “At the same time, to the MPs’ proposal on the need to amend legislation, including the Criminal Code, the minister unequivocally replied that such changes are not required, since the relevant provisions and measures of responsibility are already provided for by the current laws,” he said.
Earlier, Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamalea Center, which developed the Sputnik V vaccine, spoke in favor of mandatory vaccination. The chairman of the Federation Council committee on constitutional legislation, Andrei Klishas, noted that the decision would not violate the constitutional rights of citizens, but for this it is necessary to adopt a federal law. The Kremlin has not yet made such decisions. At the same time, Vladimir Putin said that making vaccination against coronavirus mandatory is wrong.
The bill on the inclusion of vaccination against coronavirus in the national vaccination calendar was submitted to the State Duma in May, on June 8 it was approved in the first reading. On June 15, the document was supposed to be considered in the second reading, but it was removed from the agenda, since then the deputies have not returned to it.
