The International Hindu Council has condemned the carrying of banners reading ‘Nandi Ozhika’ during a protest inside parliament today.
According to a statement issued by the Hindu Peetha,
The issue is deeply troubling to the minds of the Hindu people. Nandeswarar worship in Shiva temples is worshiped by Shiva devotees.
In such a situation, the banner ‘Nandi Ozhika’ has caused great sorrow among the Hindu people.
The Sivacharyas, on behalf of the International Faculty, have therefore appealed to the concerned parties to immediately apologize to the Hindu people for carrying this banner.
