Navy to Spend 32 Lakh Rupees on Repairing Vadataragai Ferry for Kachchathivu Festival

According to the Navy, 32 lakh rupees will be spent on repairing the Vadataragai ferry, which is engaged in passenger service between Jaffna, Krigatuan-Nedundive.

In accordance with the instructions of the Jaffna District Secretary to repair the Vadataragai boat before the Kachchathivu festival, the Navy carried out an assessment of the repair work of the Vadataragai boat which is standing at the Kangesanthurai Naval Camp for repair work.

Meanwhile, the Navy has informed the Road Development Authority that 32 lakh rupees will be spent on the repair work and if more repairs are found while the repair work is being carried out, more money will be required to repair them.
