Kochi: A five-member gang stabbed a father to death for allegedly harassing his daughter at a wedding hall in Kochi. Govt. She was admitted to the Taluk Hospital.
Rafeeq said the attack was carried out by a group led by Jinshad, a native of Nettoor. The incident took place at around 10 pm in the hall in Nettoor. Rafeeq and his family were at the wedding party. Rafeek was questioned after he saw his daughter being abused while eating. He was stabbed with a knife after being bent over and beaten to death. 6 stab wounds to the head, back, chest and arms.
Fifty people were in the hall at the time but were afraid to approach the young men in the drunken group. Rafiq was rushed to hospital after the group went to the highway and created an atmosphere of terror. Panangad police reached the spot following the incident.
