A state of emergency against the disease has been declared in New York City, USA, following a sudden increase in the spread of monkey measles.
Since then, the city’s sanitation procedures have been changed to intensify measures to control the spread of the disease. At present, 1.5 lakh people in the city are at risk of contracting monkey measles, officials said.
