The online research in natural sciences for ninth graders on today’s additional date was successful, and until now no signals of technical and organizational problems have been received at the Ministry of Education and Culture. About 2,700 students solved the test on electronic devices. Thus, the total number of students who passed the test is 47,500, which is the largest test study conducted online in Bulgaria, this was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
We remind you that the Ministry of Education and Culture gave the ninth graders who encountered technical difficulties when solving the test on October 15 the opportunity to appear again today, but only if they wish.
The exam was organized from 12:00 to avoid difficulties for the students who are on a two-shift study organization. Each student could choose which of the two online platforms provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture to solve it. Following the technical difficulties on October 15, a number of changes were made to ensure that the survey went smoothly. All children today logged in to both systems with their NEISPUO accounts to test this option again. The aggregated data show that they had no difficulty.
The results of this test only provide information about the level of acquired skills for the student and are not related to his assessment. It is possible for the results to be entered as a current assessment at the discretion of the teaching teacher and only at the request of the student.
The test consisted of three parts – biology and health education, physics and astronomy, and chemistry and environmental protection.
Each part of the test included a different number of questions with multiple choice and/or short free answer questions. The student had 30 minutes to work on each part.
The current study focuses on important themes of the PISA 2025 study, with the type of tasks and environment approaching those of the international study. On the other hand, teachers are also supported in setting and evaluating such type of tasks.
