Not true love, but irrational love | D Movies

by time news

There have been many movies in Malayalam before, focusing on the love that a teenager feels for an older woman. Christie is the latest film based on this theme.

Spoiler Alert

The film revolves around a student named Roy who falls in love with a tuition sister named Christy. Roy falls in love with Christy when she goes to her sister’s house for tuition. Christy, on the other hand, is married against her will, breaks up, and goes through a life of despair. Roy, who comes into her life, is a comfort to her. That closeness makes Roy fall in love.

Roy’s love is said to be true love in many parts of the movie itself. But Christy is a perfect example of how not to fall in love with someone. Following the path of earlier Malayalam films that romanticized stockings, Christie is presenting it as a noble love.

Christie has gone a step further than stockings and even into physical violence and that too with romantic background music. (Christie romanticizing transgression).

At least the crew could have asked women in the know how trespassing affects women. Instead, Christy tries to satisfy teenage male fantasies. In one word it can be said that Roy’s love is irrational. A teenager might not think about the consequences when setting out on an adventure to leave the state for love. But when you decide to move on from the airport despite knowing that there are many obstacles, you can understand that logic has no relevance in this movie.

It was over when the Maldivian girl who had no experience came to the hero who did so many stupid things and said that your love is true love.
