Oil announces the restart of the Holy Karbala refinery tomorrow »

The Ministry of Oil announced today, Monday, the restart of the Holy Karbala refinery tomorrow, Tuesday, after completing maintenance work.

A statement from the ministry – received by the (INA) – stated that “a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary for Liquidation Affairs, Hamid Younis, with the coalition of Korean companies, the implementing agency for the refinery, and the relevant authorities in the ministry, in the presence of the Director General of the Central Refineries Company, the Director of the Holy Karbala Refinery, and the Oil Projects Company.”
The Undersecretary for Refining Affairs, Hamid Younis, said – according to the statement – that “restarting the refinery comes within the government’s directives and its special program in the refining sector, in addition to the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, and his continuous follow-up,” indicating, “It will be operated.” Production units successively, until all of them are fully operational, reaching the capacities available for production in the refinery.”
