For a quarter of an hour, G.S. was forced. Dodekanisos against A.S.K.A. Heraklion and then easily beat the Cretans with a score of 64-38, in the premier game of the second round (6th matchday) for the A1 Category in wheelchair basketball. The team of Yiannis Maroullakis and Giorgos Bosganas returned to the road of success again, after three consecutive defeats, presenting a good face for the longest period of the match. With polyphony in scoring and throwing turns in the last quarter, G.S.D. won with +26, having three players in double figures. Hamadi, Stergiopoulos and Hadjikantis were the spearheads for the Rhodians, who put on some nice performances in the indoor gym of Kallithea, against the weakest team in the league, which plays exclusively with Greek athletes. After the initial 15-12 (10′), G.S. Dodekanisos turned up the heat and “ended” the game in the third quarter when it escaped with +23 (52-29). The victory came at idle for G.S.D., who will play in an important away game against A.E.K.
