ONLYOFFICE has released version 7.4 of its online editors and desktop applications, which are now collectively known as ONLYOFFICE 7.4. This new version brings with it several improvements and interesting features. One of the most outstanding innovations is the incorporation of the Draw tab, which allows you to draw freehand in documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. Color name hints and an eyedropper have also been added to make color selection easier in editors.
In addition, radar format charts have been introduced that can be inserted into different types of documents to illustrate multivariate data. Another useful function is the possibility of merging two versions of the same document into one, which is especially practical for repetitive documents such as invoices or contracts.
As for export, it is now possible to save objects such as shapes, charts, and text boxes as PNG images with a transparent background, making it easy to reuse them in other documents. The variety of export formats has also been expanded, including PNG and JPG images, in addition to the non-graphic formats already available.
In relation to spreadsheets, new formulas and improvements have been added to pivot tables, including options to display values in different ways and work with them through the context menu.
The extended API now supports the addition of plugins with multiple windows, and the ChatGPT plugin has been enhanced with more useful features such as word parsing, image generation, text summaries, and keyword generation. The installation of plugins in desktop editors has also been made easier with a new dedicated manager.
Additionally, improvements have been made to the document editor and form builder, bringing advanced settings and new customization options.
