MADRID, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish MotoGP rider Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) has acknowledged that it will be a busy weekend given that the Honda is not “as strong” at Phillip Island as it could be in the last three rounds, and has added that it has been a “very tough” day after finishing in eighteenth position, in the last places, in Practice this Friday.

“Today has been a very hard day, when a weekend starts in such a complicated way as this, there is a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, our bike is not as strong here as it was in India, Motegi or Mandalika, so there is more work to do,” he acknowledged in statements provided by the team.

Joan Mir could not finish in the ‘Top 10’ of Practice and, due to several problems with his Honda RC213V, the Repsol Honda team rider was eighteenth, two places worse than his teammate Marc Márquez, who crashed in both rounds.

“We have to change the configuration a lot for a circuit like this and today we spent a lot of time doing it. But I’m not as comfortable as I would like, so we are a little limited,” he said.

“Traction is the aspect we have to work on the most. I think it is a good decision to do the race tomorrow, since the weather has started to change,” added the Balearic driver and former world champion in the premier class.
